Is 8GB of RAM enough to play JC3 smoothly and without lags?
I am buying GTX 1060 soon (so it is a powerful card) but I don't know if 8GB of RAM on my computer is enough

I do play with 8 GB.
Every time I start the game I am reminded to close other programs. Which I do.
I can play for hours. But it is not totally smooth. But it is fun. It is such a good game.

8 is plenty for most people. If your game slows down after a while it's likely either degrading performance due to heat accumulation or the controller bug.

I got that Gtx 1060, with 16gb ram, and I'm not having any issues...

based on answers above, 8 GB of RAM is not enough

Often times a person has an issue and goes all over the forums going on about how whatever specs you have are not enough. People who don't have issues have no reason to be here so there's a huge bias for negative. For myself, 8gb is fine. I have 8gb and a GTX880 and run the game on high settings with no problems after a bit of easy troubleshooting. This game really is a crapshoot as to who it'll work out of the box with. Most people near the minimum can get it running just fine with a bit of effort

Unfortunatley it won't work no.

Even with 16GB RAM and a GTX 1060 it won't run right unless you have an i7.

I got many comments in my previous posts which say that it will run much better

This has to be satire

While 8gb ram should be enough, not everyone has a lot of their 8gb free, for instance I spoke to someone once who was using nearly 6gb just sitting in windows, where as I am sitting at 1.8gb at the moment, so when running this game I have 4gb more than that other user, they would essentially need 12gb to get the same performance as myself.

Check taskmanager, if you are using more than 2.5gb of ram, you will be running background programs you can stop. If so try using the startup tab in taskmanager to limit the amount of programs starting with windows (leave things like graphic drivers alone, but stop things like update programs, p2p programs, skype, origin, cam software, steam etc starting with windows.

I have no issues with this game at all, I am running amd 8350, gtx 970, 8gb ram. If you run a clean system, 8gb will still handle any game fine at 1080p, though if you have the money 16 will not hurt and eventually games will need more than 8,

It has a memory leak or something. You need at least 12gbs otherwise it'll lag just from memory usage after 10 minutes or so.

The memory leak is only caused if you have a controller plugged in when you start the game, if you plug it on once the game has started your fine, and if you do not use one, there is no leak. Ive finished the game twice with 8gb of ram fine, playing for hours at a time.
