Just Cause 3.exe has stopped working.
Bought the game today played once, perfect. Came back wanting to play it again. Can't launch the game.. ''Just Cause 3.exe has stopped working.'' instantly when I press launch game. What is this.. Don't say I need to re-install this. I don't think that fix it if everytime I want to play it I need to re-install it.. appreciate ur help guys thanks.

Same problem, even after reinstalling the game, and checking steam/parameters/steam files... Hope this will be fixed !! Regards

8-core i7 2600k 3,4ghz , 8gb ram , gtx 780 , 64bit system. game ran fine on max settings first time I played it. now it's dead

I've got the same problem. I bought the game yesterday and I could not start the game. It said exe file not working. I downloaded it two more times. Still cannot play. Looking for a solution.

If the EXE file keeps disappearing it's almost definitely your antivirus. Make an exception, verify, and try again

It is not disappearing for me. Just says .EXE stopped working. I have verified 10 times. Played the first mission. maybe this will be the first time I'll be refunding a game. no one seems to have a fix for this..

More than likly a windows issue, as it seams to be with backround services.
For me everytime the game crashes irt is do to this error Log Name: Application

MS made a good os in win10 on the start but has continued to run things in the backround by passing user setings.
Steam os lokking better every day.

MS pushed out wpdates to win7 , 8.0. 8.1 in a effort to get users on win10 as 1 billion devices in 2 years was the goal but failing.
MS is trying to get people buying from their store, xbox, win10 gaming , movies, (music endding on dec. 31 2017).
If the phone home software detects you are on another platform like steam, your game gets interupted, so you get tired of the issues and adapot MS system.
Replaced the MS basic sata controler with amd controler, and now the game did not crash but got a server disconect after 20min in game.
Turnning of fast startup may fix some issues.

Same issue here. All worked fine, hadn't played for 2 months, then bought the DLC pack during the sale and will no longer start (black screen / instant ".exe has stopped working"). Tried all of below, now getting a refund on the DLC so at least I'm not wasting money on a game that won't start.
- updated Nvidia graphics drivers
- temporarily removed settings and game progress files
- uninstalled the DLC
- verified
- set an exception in my virus checker (Avira) for the full JC3 folder
- did the other things you will find when you Google this (remove the DLC and patch folders and verify, check page file size, etc)
- uninstalled and re-downloaded everything from scratch

Spec: W7, 4690K, 1060 6GB, 16GB

I did turn off fast boot and hybird sleep.

I don't have either of them checked. Those are typical for laptops. Don't think that is a solution.
