Hello, survivors!

We appreciate everyone who took the time to play the Permafrost playtest and fill out the feedback survey.

By now, we have identified several feedback points that are preventing the game from being truly enjoyable, as we would like it to be. That’s why we decided to end the playtest early and start working immediately on improvements.

If you braved the frozen world in this playtest, you’ll automatically be part of the next one. If you didn’t make it into this playtest, don’t worry - there will be more to come!

In the meantime, we will be back soon with a clear outline of what’s coming next, based on everything you’ve shared with us.

I am looking forward to this game, but I cannot start it normally

When I heard the game started testing, I downloaded it, eager to try it out. However, I\'m stuck at what seems to be the very first stage. After downloading, installing, and logging in, all I see is a wallpaper, and there are no visible settings buttons or any other interactive elements...

Starting right now, you and your fellow survivors can step into the frozen world of Permafrost. Learn what it takes to survive the cold and explore the Horizon, Woods, and Housecamp.

Please remember that this is still a work in progress, and you might still encounter bugs or other issues.

Since the focus of this test is stability and performance, we are limiting the number of players. We will be sending out more invites through the test - you will be notified by email if you receive access.

We are curious to know your thoughts about this playtest, so don't forget to fill out the survey[survey.alchemer.eu]! It will appear automatically once you exit the game.

Hey! I played the open test a while back and loved it. I requested the playtest access shortly after and haven't heard anything. Any updates on this?! It's kind of disappointing really. I've been looking forward to this game for some time.

Gen AI usage

Was looking forward to this since I wishlisted back in 2024, but noticed today on the store page that generative ai voice-overs are being used. Can't knowingly support that with the damage every use of Gen AI is doing.

PvPvE/PvE co-op only

We've all been burned with PvPvE single server games (hacking and establish players and factions abusing new players) no need to name them. I will wait till devs give clear answer on that till I buy it.
