We actually added a lot of additional features to take advantage of a modern PC. It's not a straight port of the console version.
Have you tried playing with the graphical options or resolution at all? If so, which ones? Usually the ones that help the most are setting AA to FXAA (SSAA is very expensive), turning off HiFi Sim in the Game Options, and running at a lower resolution.
SSAA is a very expensive type of anti-aliasing and requires your GPU to push many more pixels. It basically renders the game at double or quadruple the size of the screen and then scales it down. We definitely recommend only turning that on if you have a GPU that can support it.

In my opinion on ths specification i should play on max with AA x 4
I have Intel Core E8400 3.00 Ghz
4 GB RAM
RADEONA 4850 512 MB and i can't play on max detals and AA
There's a difference between consistently low FPS (like the OP) and hitches/spikes. The latter is more likely something for us to work on, but the former is more likely to be system specific.

Ctrl-home toggles interpolated rendering. There's also a checkbox in the game controls to toggle hi-fi sim (which simulates at 60 Hz instead of 30 Hz), but I suspect that the interpolated rendering might be an issue for some people. If anyone seeing a stuttering frame rate could press ctrl-home and let us know the results, it would be greatly appreciated.
Just tried it with Vsync on - Hi-Fi Sim unticked and then pressed Ctrl-Home and my FPS dropped from 60 to 50. I still stutter, so I ctrl-Home again and my FPS goes back to 60 but still continues to stutter.
Just another note, when I load the game up, it runs smooth but when I pause and go back into the game it stutters and I have to quit out the game and reload and never access the pause menu. This doesn't always happen though, so...
