Hi everyone!

This thread is going to be the official update thread. In it, we here at Double Fine are going to try and keep everyone informed about the changes that are going into the updates. That way you can know about all the awesome stuff getting fixed and added to the Brutal Legend as well as when you should be expecting the next update.

**5/07/13 Patch**

• UI Fixes to the multiplayer lobber where you could not change factions
• Render optimizations
• Fixed a bug where the stage would disappear in the Sea of Black tears
• Matchmaking improvements

oh and I think the default axe attack tutorial is mapped to 'x' in the how to use screen when its actually, a in the game. Though I haven't re-tested to verify that one.

some of the animations and FX are still 30 fps in SP
also framerate drops noticeably during slowmo kills and cutscenes

some sound fx are missing as well, like growling sound of the first boss in the cutscene (and sometimes it is also missing while fighting the boss)

In the "remap controls" I cannot use my mouse thumb button (Logitech G7).
When trying to remap "E" (Interact) it show a blank space and in game won't respond 'till I put it back to "E"

Can you give me a specific example? Does it go away if you turn off hi fi sim?

Also, uncapped rendering of animations and camera movement need more fine tuning, they stutter at times. Could be driver issue tho. 313.96

In the cutscene where Eddie decapitates the first boss, during the moment when they jump in the Deuce across the gap to the bridge.

Haven't tried to turn off the Hi-fi sim, let me check it right now.

Turning the hi-fi sim off does fix the problem with the flickering in the cutscenes.

However, there is another problem - with the sim turned off everything (camera, characters) moves at the screen with a 60 fps rate,(this is what i can say looking at the fraps data), while all their animations play at something like 30fps or lower.

And sometimes during the gameplay with the sim off it seems to run at a very low framerate - even though Fraps tells it's solid 60fps.

Not sure if it's supposed to run like this with the sim off or not.

Running on GeForce 660 Ti with the latest Nvidia drivers (314.07)

Ok, still noticed some issues....

It seems my game is still BETA, im only able to select Multiplayer and Options. There is no hi-fi sim option. The cool video background where Jack Black flips around the vinyl is simply a black screen after returning from the Options menu, only the white arrows on the side are visible, rest of screen is plain black.

Also, the first time I started it up, it just kept loading and the screen kept black. Nothing happened until killing the process with task manager and restarting.

Im also wondering, which values correspond to the FOV slider? What FOV value is, say, the default middle position? What value is highest, lowest, etc?
