Small controller icons question

First thing's first. OMFG! BRUTAL LEGEND IS ON THE PC!!!! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!

Ok with that out of the way on to my question.
Is there anyway you can switch between 360 controller icons and PS3 styled icons or is there any possibility this could be added as an otption into the game?
And this applies to all the games you have on PC too. Most were released on both 360 and PS3 (all but Iron Brigade) so they have had those icons before. I much prefer the PS3 controller over the 360 and it gets a bit weird using a PS3 controller but seeing 360 prompts. I know there is a mod for Psychonauts to make the icons that of the PS3 but as far as I know none of the other games have anyway to use them.

I know it's a small thing and I don't really expect it happen but I thought I would ask.

EDIT: Also the beta doesn't have the DLC maps, will the final game have them?

The DLC maps will be available soon and with the final release as well.

If you're using a PS3 controller, what drivers are you using? If you're using a 360 controller emulator, then our game will probably see it as if it's a regular 360 controller and won't be able to switch to the generic icons.

The DLC maps are currently disabled, but we'll bring them online over the next few days as we are able to test issues on the main maps. They'll be in the final game for sure.

Some PC ports never get the DLC consoles had but so far you guys have always had the DLC on PC too, still figured I'd check though.

As for controller driver, I'm using the MotionJoy drivers and I do usually use the 360 emulator with it because most games only support the 360 controller. I tried the generic option in the BL beta and it still showed the 360 buttons (the controls were not bound right either but I think that might be just a MotionJoy thing).

Hi, I'm running the game on linux, and would also like to be able to change the icons (perhaps add an option in the options menu to do that?) because I only own a ps3 controller, and it gets confusing that a is x, x is square, etc...
I'm using native ps3 driver, no emulation here, so the game should recognize the controller correctly.

You can! Navigate to where Brutal Legend is installed, and go to the config directory (SteamApps/common/BrutalLegend/Data/Config), and edit Buddha.cfg. Add the following line:

sDefaultControllerIcons = "PS3"

And now the 360 icons should show up as PS3 icons. Hopefully that helps!
