[Spoilers] [Question] Why did Ophelia know about Eddie's parents?

OK hopefully the title doesn't betray any story. If you haven't finished the game then please close the thread now. Sorry for the inconvenience

So I have just finished the game but I have a problem unsolved. I understand that story-writing on games are mostly non-serious and might introduce bunches of inconsistencies/unexplainable plots. But still I'd like to be sure if I missed something.

The reason why Ophelia felt betrayed was because she refused to tell Eddie more about Eddie's parents and Eddie grew suspicious. But how did she know about Eddie's parents in the first place whatsoever? And what's even weirder is if Ophelia knew it then why didn't she tell Lita so that Lita would not doubt her to be Succoria? I read somewhere in another forum that only Lars and Ophelia knew Eddie's true identity and mission from the very beginning. It also says Ophelia tried to go to the temple in order to retrive the Separator axe, only for Eddie to arrive and retrieve it earlier. Is it true? If so, why? If not, then still the title question. Or is all of these stuffs just a kind of forcing the plot forward without much consistency at all, like many games/mainstream movies do?

This is quite confusing for me and I would really appreciate an answer. Thanks in advance!

It wasnt about Eddies parents, the problem was that OPHELIAS parents were part of the original tear revolution thing, that stopped the first revolution. They were helping the demons by doing so.

The problem was that Eddi thought she was Succoria, and Lita simply thought she was evil to begin with. That was the problem.

This I know. But this is not what I meant. In the scene that Eddie doubted Ophelia, it was Ophelia said "there's something about your parents". But when Eddie asked her further she refused to elaborate, insisting "it is for protecting you." etc., this led to Eddie's ultimate not believing in her. Oh...Sorry, was some time ago that ive played it, so i wasnt sure what exactly you meant.

I think she wanted to protect him from the truth. (And maybe also protect him from Lita.)

Now how could she and Lars know about this? Well,I think, and please keep in mind that im speculating about something ive played a while ago, that when riggnarok, eddies father, left to kill succoria, they knew about it. And its also possible they knew Succoria. Or at least Lars parents did, I think hes supposed to be around the same age as Eddie, making Ophelia and Lita younger. So maybe she was able to figure it out from what she heard from someone who knew riggnarök and succoria, after all Eddie transforms into a demon in battle...


And something else Ive heard is that they had to cut quite some parts of the story for some reasons...Thats not going to help to make things clearer...

oh, that answer some of stupid question that make me so confused when playing this game, like : how can eddie know that he bought to the age of metal by Ormagöden if he unconcius? and who is mangus ? i mean he just there ?, and i still curious about 3 month after lars died....
