XBox 360 Controller and Logitech G25 don't work
I can play every steam game I own with my XBox 360 controller and Logitech G25 racing wheel but it simply will not work with Nascar The Game: 2013. I have re installed the game and drivers for all devices and they still are not recognized by the game. I have rebooted, unplugged and plugged back in, updated. Everything short of reinstalling windows itself. I cannot get a controller to work. I'm so frustrated right now as I was looking forward to playing this game.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? I'm on Windows 7.

The game claims "Full-controller support"

UPDATE: I tried racing with keyboard controls.... forget it. I'm desperate to find a solution for this.

You can't have them connected at the same time. Unplug both and reboot. Plug in G25 and try again.

Can you upload the game log?

Well it is not the Game or the G25...Because my g25 works great with the game. Do you have the current g25/Logitech software installed ??

I have unplugged every USB device from my PC exlcuding my mouse and keyboard in an effort to get the XBox 360 controller. This did not fix the problem. I also don't believe that this should be an issue.

As I stated in my original post, I have re-installed all device drivers associated with my game controller and racing wheel.

Yeah, that's the bit! We've got a fix in the works but for now you should be able to do the same as these guys http://steamcommunity.com/app/225220/discussions/0/846958223139024924/#p1 and disable the Virtual HID Device. It seems to be a rare issue when windows installs the drivers

I did try that before with no luck. I'll go ahead and play with that a little more since we have it narrowed down a bit.

Just as before it did not work. However, I did find the problem. No where in my Device and Printers was there a "Virtual HID Device". I had to go into Device Manager under "Human Interface Devices" and disable it from in there. Also, the so-called "Virtual HID Device in question is my keyboard... my KEYBOARD. I have to disable my KEYBOARD to play this friggin game! What a joke. Oh well, I spent the last few hours playing it so it can't be that bad, right? WRONG! Many bugs that I encountered and crashes to desktop have rendered this game nearly unplayable... did the development team even play this game before releasing it? Beta testing? This game feels so broken and unfinished. From jittering cars during caution laps, to the AI literally racing THROUGH THE INFIELD, the game crashes everytime I try to pit and don't even get me started on the paint shop....

I was immensely excited for a NASCAR game to FINALLY come out on PC but I feel like this is just another publisher exploiting the fandom of sports/movies for profit. There is some serious work that still needs to be done on this game.

/endrant

I am frustrated (clearly). This game really has potential, it just feels unfinished at the moment. I think I might just need to wait a few patches for all this to be fixed. *crosses fingers*

not to mention the obvious..but just tryin to help..I noticed you have not mentioned that you unplugged ALL but the controller you wish to use?Give that a try if you have not.. many find that only one controller can be plugged in for it to work properly with this game...

Please read the thread before posting. The XBox Controller issue as already been resolved.

Some USB ports have priority over others. Might just need a little switch-a-roo.
