First of all, thank you for your patience. No, A Simple Square is not abandoned, and yes, it will indeed see the light of day!

After a long break, I am happy to announce that the development of the game has officially resumed. It has been redesigned and rebuilt from scratch, with a much stronger technical foundation. While I can't commit to an exact release date just yet, my goal is to release A Simple Square by the end of this year. If that's not possible, then it will be at the beginning of next year.

What's new?

• Completely rewritten code: This means better performance, smoother gameplay, and a foundation that will allow me to build future updates more easily.
• New visuals: Staying true to the simple and minimalist aesthetic, the game has undergone a complete visual overhaul. The interface and graphical elements are now clearer, more pleasant, and, most importantly, easier to understand for a better user experience.
• Expanded content: You will have access to nine distinct worlds, each introducing new gameplay mechanics, ensuring a variety of experiences and unique challenges in every level.

Lastly, the release model (whether in Early Access or not) and the game's price are still under consideration, and I'll share more details about that in the coming weeks.
