How to remove slimers?

Is there anyway to get rid of protozoid slimers in this game?

just shoot with the pistol or step them.

You want to get rid of the weakest & most harmless enemy in the game? They literally have 1 HP.

Pistol or mighty foot will work.
EDIT: This reminds me those evil hands creatures from Blood. Those was hard to get off!

Holding the button for the Mighty Foot literally renders you invulnerable to the Protozoid Slimers as they die before they even pop-up on screen, as they only really deal damage once they cover your screen about halfway xD
Their eggs also die from 2 Foot hits, though I like to blow Slimers and their eggs with 1 pipebomb if all are in a group :)
