Yes I have tried it and it makes the graphics much much better I cannot reccommend it enough. It is well worth the money they ask for it. You can try out the first few levels for free

Whats the reason for not recommending it enough?

I guess, it was supposed to mean complete opposite, like there's no way to recommend that even more :)
However, I've decided not to use it. Not because they're charging money for it but there are no "enhancements" for other old TR games as far as I know. I don't want next ones look "uglier" than the first one, lol
;)

Oh lol, for some reason I still think back in old Voodoo and 3dfx days graphics looked much better, but I may be wrong or thats because I played on 14'' crt monitor with native 1024x768 resolution, right now Im playing on 1080p as it opens in this way and graphics looking very jaggy.

For the Glidos Ive checked some screenshots and read their latest version is compatible with Steam version without messing and tweaking stuff, and those texture packs are looking good if you ask me.

How much theyre charging for Glidos? I got TR 1-2-3 for less than $5.

$10 for Glidos but I think it's a rip off considering the fiddling around you've to do to get stuff to work. Surely there is a alternative to using updated texture packs and FMV movies for the older Tomb Raider games then paying some guy for software to use texture packs and fmv packs.

Err, $10 is more than I got the TR 1-2-3. *sigh*

For now I applied nglide and changed resolution, it did really make a difference, it looks much smoother and better than before.

I regret paying 10$ for it, I had to find out for my self and I'm not that impressed. First of all the Direct3D option has a horrible delay with the menu that has been an issue for some time and from reading the "official" forums on this Glidos site he doesn't seem to be an any rush or it being a top piority of this issue or a resolution to anything with Glidos. It's old and and it's outdated. The texture packs for this are incomplete but they look very nice for what they come with a annoying price. Don't buy it until the author actually makes it value worth its weight in gold.

Plenty of work arounds to resolve the issues a lot of people request. Like Higher resolutions and full screen and no crashes when pressing ALT+Tab etc. Missing "Ah ha" sound is a pain in the ass though to do and requires mod tools. It's not hard just time consuming.

Too bad to hear that really, $10 isnt much maybe but I wont pay $10 without testing it first, I solved Alt+Tab problem, and Im playing on higher resolution and finally with nglide, graphics are looking exactly like Ive played ages ago.

Glidos not worth the money what they ask. This software is very messy. U spend lot of time to configure this crap. Better u buy orginal game with new launcher. Im buy this and spend about 3h to configure soundpack for music from orginal TR in key moments in game from playstation and still nothing i set. Only option for buy this is new textures pack if u r hardcore TR fan.

And textures ar different or not all remake in HD verisons so i hawe half orginal one and half HD
