Tomb Raider Multi-Patch for GOG and Steam

Hi all I created a patch that includes all the best patches for TR1 GOG and Steam versions.

It includes these patches:
- Unfinished Business
- PSX audio tracks (by Peter Connelly) -OR-
- Remastered audio tracks (by Tomekkobialka)
- Final Secret Fix (by Suikaze Raider)
- nGlide v1.04 (for high resolution)
- tomb.exe for audio tracks (from gidierre's advanced installer)

Does this patch work without affecting any other external features, such as Steam Broadcasting?

I don't think it will, it sets up the game in a very similar fashion as these guides:

A big difference is you won't have to replace the original Steam GAME.GOG file with a different one because the music tracks are extracted to MP3. If all else fails, it can be reverted completed with the same steps in the guide above or on the page I linked in the OP.

I'm mostly curious if it even works at all for the Steam version since I do not own it to test it. The directory structure is somewhat different than GOG version, I used the guides above to figure out where most files are in the Steam version. I'm pretty sure it all lines up though, could use a verification.

For me, the game doesn't work!!
The Tomb Raider freezes after 3DFX logo and UB only runs on window mode!!
Someone had any idea how to fix it??

EDIT: UB I can fix to work, but TR show me a texture error on dosbox prompt window and close after some time!! :(

Hmm maybe some incompatibility with nGlide? Or does this happen without this patch installed as well? What exactly does the texture error say?

You can try an alternate glide wrapper called dgvoodoo. After installing the patch, copy these 2 files (glide2x.dll, dgVoodooSetup.exe) into the Tomb Raider installation directory, overwrite the old glide2x.dll (or back it up). Run the configurator "dgVoodooSetup.exe" for higher resolutions. One issue I have with this wrapper is that I can not find a way to avoid stretching the image and maintain the 4:3 aspect ratio. But if it works it might be a good alternative to nGlide if others have issues with it.

Again remove the 3 spaces from the link below for the stripped down dgvoodoo that contains only the files tomb raider should need. This is version 1.4 which seems to be commonly used for TR1. There are newer versions up to 2.45 but according to the site, requires "strong iron hardware".

@Detective Rarity: Not likely as there isn't much that could be done for TR2. As it is natively supported by Windows, it's already possible to do things like change the resolution. It did have a type of expansion called "The Golden Mask", but I can't legally distribute it since it was never free. I also haven't found a good way to fix the secret sound looping. Fixing with one method or the other breaks something else... Honestly though this should be fixed by GoG or Steam anyway.

@Ash FoxX: Glad you found it useful! It is indeed an excellent game! Definitely one of my favorites, and I haven't even discovered it until 2011. It truly stands up to the test of time.

@Exiledknight88: Glad it worked for you! Yeah it was a huge hassle when I went to play the game and realized I needed a bunch of patches to get the game to a playable/full featured state. I thought to myself, jeez I wish all this was automated for me... then took it upon myself to automate it for everyone else.

I received enough feedback now that I feel comfortable that it does indeed work well with the Steam version which is great.
