*SOLVED* Xbox 360 Controller Support For Tomb Raider Games?

I want to use my Xbox 360 controller for the older Tomb Raider games as I hear keyboard controls suck and as this is was made a little before the original Xbox came out it's obviously not going to work easily so is there any tweaking I can do to get it working? I don't want to use any programs to get it work (Xpadder is a no-no).

And that's why you won't be playing it with your 360 gamepad.
Those were the PlayStation times and every gamepad at the time was using Dinput, not Xinput. It's physically impossible to make your Xinput controller work with it, unless you're using 3rd party software.

Didn't think so but worth asking anyway. I would use XPadder but my trial ran out and I'm not wanting to pay for it. Thanks anyway.

Then use Joy2Key like me, it's completely free and works a treat with an Xbox 360 controller.

Yeah I did that and I found that not to be all that helpful with most game I have.

That's interesting, I can get it to work with just about everything. I don't know anymore programs that are free,

Sorry I confused that with XPadder. Thanks for telling me about it but I've decided I'll just buy Pinnacle Game Padder or whatever it's called.

i got steam and got tombraider i want to use my dualshock 4 (ps4) controller i looked online on how to i set everything up and still it doesnt work? what am i missing? please help?

You can use a Xbox 360 controller with this game. Make sure your controller is on before you start the game. At the main menu, go to the controls option. "Default Keys" will be highlighted. Press the right arrow to change to "User Keys". From here you can map Xbox controls. Not all buttons can be mapped, but it works.

Oh I was just using it last night and since the game only has partial controller support I assumed I couldn't change the controls for the controller. Thanks, that'll help me a lot!
