Enabling Software mode?
Just getting back to replaying this and I realised there's no clear way for me to enable software mode over 3dfx. Does anyone know if there's some workaround to get it looking like it did in '96?

I know it's a bit weird but I prefer the look of the software renderer. It makes it look just like the Saturn version but with a solid framerate.

I just love those chunky pixels, I guess

example:

3dfx before the all in one patch [3.bp.blogspot.com]

software mode, with chunky pixels and bluer sharper colours [3.bp.blogspot.com]

Software rendering in classic Win9x games can sometimes be messed up on modern systems, that's why Glide wrappers usually come with the games.

The game comes with a separate executable for forcing software mode: TOMBS.EXE (the 's' standing for Software mode). You'll have to change your steam properties for the game to run that instead of TOMB.EXE.
