Tomb Raider 1996 mouse mod?
Hey guys, I've been wanting to play the original Tomb Raider games for some time now and luckily there was a Steam sale a few weeks ago that allowed tme to buy them all.

Now, I'm someone who doesn't care at all about graphics so long as the game is playable, but one thing I'm not a fan of is the camera and shooting mechanics not being tied to the mouse like other PC shooters. It makes navigation and combat a bit of a pain in the ass.

Does anyone know of any fan mod that can change the game this way?

Thanks everyone!

I would suggest using a gamepad instead as that's the preferred input method that actually makes sense.

On top of that the mechanics are mostly the same throughout TR1-5.

Thanks a lot man, I really appreciate the answer. Which gamepad would you suggest using for this game? And how would I go about linking it to Tomb Raider since I doubt it'll be as easy as other games that are openly compatible with gamepads.

Any dualshock or Xbox 1 pad would do the trick. I prefer playing with dpad.
You can use Joy2Key or free version of Xpadder to map the buttons to keyboard keys.

Xbox 1 as in Xbone or the original Xbox?

Just use Steam to map keyboard keys to a controller, no need for any other program.

Err, Xbox One, people commonly abbreviate it as XB1.
It has a very nice clicky dpad that works even better than classic dualshock one.

Ah, so it's better to do that than map it to the joystick?
