Dead Money crashes (every time on the same spot)
I've gathered the team but cannot go any further. The game crashes during "Mixed signals" quest. Every time I try to enter "puesta del sol north" with Christine, I see the loading screen and then the game just crashes. I know I should have a backup save, but I don't, and if I don't complete this DLC (which I don't even like so far), I will lose my 60-hour progress. Is there a way to fix this or at least leave this DLC without finishing it?

Maybe this is too late to help you, but it might help someone else. I ran into the same issue, and was able to get past the crash by running the game in windowed mode. Once I entered Puesta Del Sol North, I switched back to full screen.

use the console command to teleport to puesta north, save the game, exit, close steam, restart steam and play
this way you re-enable the achievements

I ran into a similar problem with Dog as my companion and trying to enter Salida del Sol South from the Villa. Every time I went through the door, I got the loading screen and then crashed to the desktop.

I tried running in Windowed mode as described above, but it still crashed.

Eventually I tried dismissing Dog and going through alone, and that worked. I saved after loading Salida del Sol South successfully and then went back to the fountain, had Dog rejoin me and was able to go back through to Salida del Sol South without any problem.

I had the same problem as Robert with Dog at the Salida del Sol South gate in the Villa. I can confirm his method to fix it worked for me as well, thanks Robert!

I got into the habit of leaving the companions related to this questline in the Villa right by the doors to the maps where they were supposed to be taken until the map was clear of enemies, because I seriously hate companions and don't need them running around messing up what I'm doing and aggroing things... so I thought maybe leaving Dog in wait mode had bugged my game this time. It didn't, using Robert's method I was still able to put Dog in wait mode and transitioned myself alone to Salida del Sol South.

I got the crash when I was trying to enter the door alone. I restarted the game in "Windowed" mode and it worked.

Same kind of crash when i try to take Dean Domino to his place for the quest, window mode solved the problem. Them save and restart again in full screen.
I had the same issue and then i disabled the dlc with steam and then it managed to work

Very late here (though I guess all the answers are) but I encountered a similar problem when exiting the Salida Del Sol South area. At this point I had already dropped off God/Dog and could no longer do any sort of follower tactic. After crashing 3 times, I tried windowed. It worked the second time.

Just try finnicking around. Do different things several times just to be sure.

I had the same issue, it fixed after I restarted my computer

Over 10 years later you saved me from my headaches. Thank you! :VBCOOL:
