PCR version vs mods & discussions
I've read in a way earlier thread (dating back to 2018-2019 I think) that the PCR version (Polish-Czech-Russian):
-is not compatible with Nexus mods - as such you have to install them manually one by one and figure out the order in which to load them to make them run properly
-moves you to the related languages' forum instead of the global (mostly) English one, meaning you'll end up in threads you don't understand at all.

Is this still true or has it been fixed? I'm interested in buying the game, but would only do so if it's ready to be modded with Nexus the same way as the global one is. (I'm from Middle-Europe and can only buy the PCR version on Steam for some reason, ie. buying the global one is not an option here.)

This is blatant false and I have no idea where these claims sprouted from. I assume it's because some people are just stupid and can't install mods and believe that it's this version's fault. I've been playing this version since 2017, I think, and had zero issues with mods which could be related to that version specifically.
Maybe some mod managers don't work, I dunno. I've been useing good old FOMM and Mod Organizer and they both work flawlessly.
The only problem which you may face is that after installing NVSE the game won't launch but it can be solved by installing 4GB Patch which is a must have to play the game with mods anyways - https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62552

Yes, you kinda do get moved, but you can still access global forums by directly accessing the link via your browser - https://steamcommunity.com/app/22380/discussions/

Hm I see, thank you for the info. Which mods did you use / can recommend? I think I'd be looking for ones boosting graphics and providing quality of life improvements, but any suggestions are welcome.

https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56625 Restores a huge amount of scenery and little random things which were patched out of the game post-release
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/43135 Super high quality textures for buildings, roads etc
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61723 Loot menu from Fallout 4, very convenient
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63347 Removes screen blood and I personally hate screen blood so I use this
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55334 Improves camera so you can see your character's legs
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42666 Improves visual effects for lasers, plasma, explosions etc
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38285 Pretty neat weapons retexture (firearms only) but I personally don't like some textures from the mod (too dark and clean)
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39856 Adds more flora to the wasteland
As for gameplay, I believe that JSawyer Ultimate Edition is a must have. It was made by Joshua Sawyer the project director and lead designer of Fallout: New Vegas. The mod makes the game more challenging but in a good way. It also contains tons of bugfixes

Also I love A World of Pain - it adds tons of locations with incredible design and filled with enemies so if you love killing stuff this mod is the best. But the mod is not really lore friendly. https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38719

Can confirm, I was also playing with mods since around 2016 and have no problems (may need to uncheck language DLC's though).
I will add this guide to mod recommendations: https://vivanewvegas.moddinglinked.com/

Thank you all! Indeed seems to be perfectly working so far - I followed the Viva New Vegas guide added by ZumZoom and added 100+ mods with ease.

Does any one of you have experience with the below two mods:

-Mojave Raiders (adds unique weaponry to raiders based on factions instead of them having pretty much the same gear)
-New Vegas Bounties (adds a series of bounty hunting missions)?

Been a while for me, I did play with Bounties (part 1), then watched Gopher play it to the end in his playthrough. I think it was mostly fine with a buggy section in the end.
As for Mojave Raiders, nexus says I last downloaded it 2 years ago, so must've been my Viva New Vegas playthrough, don't remember having problems with it.

But if you want to be (more) certain, then you probably should ask at their discord https://discord.gg/S99Ary5eba
