NCR: from Sneering Punk to Accepted

So i am doing a legion playthrough and i want to free Silus, but i need an accepted rep with the NCR, and currently i'm at sneering punk.
I was hated not long ago but i killed the 3 main fiends and Motor-Runner, helped Betsy with her trauma, did Medical Mystery and became Sneering Punk.
I have not finished That lucky old sun and I put a spell on you yet, because that will get me NCR infamy after my choices.
I haven't been to the Tops yet since i want to cause most trouble for the NCR before getting my rep to neutral again.
I heard that you can't get to positive rep again, only neutral if you were in bad rep with NCR, i don't know if that is true, and if not what are ways to gain a lot of NCR fame to be accepted what doesn't get me legion infamy.
The NCR hitsquad didn't warn me yet, if that matters anything.
Do i just continue to do Camp Forlon Hope side quests and Camp Golf too and eventually become accepted after time, or do i need to do something special?

From my experience, and according to the wiki, you can not become Accepted if you have Sneering Punk reputation. The best reputation you can achieve is Dark Hero. So no matter how many good things you do for NCR you won't be able to get that "free Silus" quest which requires you to be "Accepted".
The only thing you can do is either reset your reputation by going to the Tops or edit your reputation with console commands.

Alright then, i won't waste time doing boring side quests for NCR. Thanks for the fast answer.
