Where i can find Praying mantis Eggs?

I've got a quest from Thorn to find 12 mantis eggs but there is problem, i killed before all mantis in vault 22 and on the road to jacobs town, i travelled back to vault and i found some eggs in cave at the bottom, but all mantis corpses disappeared, i found also some eggs at goodsprings shool, i need two eggs now, where i can find more?

Should respawn in a while, I think there are some more in the wooded area to the left from the road to Jacobstown.

12 eggs? That very is weird, because that redhead lady in Thorn gives you a quest on collecting ,,pile of eggs" or something like that, not 12 eggs. That ,,pile of eggs" is a quest item which is placed in the cave level of Vault 22.

Thorn quests for eggs could be completed by gathering eggs. After you get enough, they will turn into quest pile of eggs.

mantis spawn but they don't drop eggs

Actually the do drop eggs, but very rarely (10% chance drop). Why dont you just find quest pile of eggs in the Vault 22 instead of gathering eggs from dead mantises?

Probably you do not understand what I mean. Or I do not understrand what you mean. You can gather 12 eggs from dead mantises or, alternatively, just find quest item called Pile of mantis eggs in the caves of Vault 22. So, you mean that you found this quest item in Vault 22 but you still can not complete the quest and you still have to gather 12 eggs? Very weird.

i did quest in vault 22 before quest from Thorn. the first quest was about rescuing ghul scientist and serching for vault data, i destroyed every planty-thingies on my way and late when i came back for another quest i was able to find 8 eggs and two in goodsprings school

You don't need to search for 12 eggs if you found A Pile of Eggs. Just find the damn pile and you would finish the quest.

Quest marker must lead you right into the caves in Vault 22. Seriously, may be you have encountered a bug or... Really, I dont know. Very weird situation. Ill try to make a screenshot with exact location of this Pile of eggs when Ill come home.
