Interested or screw that noise?
By all means if its possible lets make a sequel on Unity, but let's not take a steps too big, let's start small with just a mod for Rimworld, since that game is the closest thing to Clockwork Empire.
Maybe Later we should focus on a stand-alone game.
Wait, what? I mean I'm talking about a game without any of the bugs or performance issues, but sticking pretty true to the style of game that CE was. I mean, why advocate for an exact copy when that's the reason why it failed?
And then you go on about making a mod for rimworld, which would end up nothing like CE, and would be harder to learn the API of rimworld just to make a mod instead of making a stand alone game which could be sold on steam and revitalise the community. Mods are just as hard to make as a full game, and then you are crippled by the limitations of whatever game you are modding.
I didn't say we should get a 1:1 copy, it goes without saying that we should make the game, without the bugs and glitches.
Also Rimworld API is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ easy, I'm trying my hand at modding something in it and its not that hard.
Also while yes mods are just as hard as making actual games, making CE for Unity is going to be much harsher then making a mod where you use the system of the original game to build onto.
look, you want to make a Unity remake? very well, good luck. If you want to make a Mod, very well good luck.
I suggest mods since its easier to make mods then making a game from the ground up.
i wont even bother buying rimworld, the devs cant be bothered to give the game a sale, eve after years of being out and when called out on the subject, the dev drops a silly 10% sale worth a measly 3 whole dollars off of the price, not to mention his one and only mod lies and makes up reasons to ban you from the forum, if you mention the skimpy sale.
us actual clockwork empires owners would rather have a remake of this exact game as its own game, not a mod for some other game (which wont even be close to representing, looking like, or playing the same as this game in anyway).
just quoting this to save the text, that being said... i dont condone piracy nor theft of this games content, to be added into a mod for another game, i looked at your workshop mod on rimworld and your literally stealing the games sound track, ect.. for a workshop mod.
