And guess what? The rocks don't provide any cover in the next phase either, so uh, keep dodging. I survived with 9 HP and a dream my first time around.
- keep dying and respawning until you are lucky enough to spawn with a strong weapon (let the first enemy you encounter kill you, don't waste your time playing seriously)
- alternatively, if you decide to fight the eye with the turrets only, remember to dodge the waves with an oblique angle, not perpendicularly, this way you'll have enough time to turn around, get back a little stamina, and prepare for the next dodge; for the laser beam, there's literally no way to dodge it, unless you already know it is going to come, so my best advice is to ALWAYS expect it to come: get to a turret, fire just 2 or 3 bullets, then prepare to dodge the POSSIBLE beam, otherwise, you WILL get hit; for the rolling attack, just dodge sideways until mit gets tired and goes back into water, then deal a LITTLE damage with a turret (remember that the eye can decide to launch waves or the beam at any moment), and then retreat to dodge the new rolling attacks that will follow a little later
It is a looooooong and tiring battle, yes. If you don't find the shore immediately after spawning I suggest you let enemies kill you and retry right away, don't waste time looking for it.
Also, unless you have really plenty of ammo, I recommend not to waste any bullet on this boss, because later at the end of the level you'll find another barely doable fight where you'll need literally everything you have.
The turrets felt like a trap to me. No time to reach them and do meaningful damage.
When the laser beam comes out, you can literally just walk and it cant hit as long as you keep moving. I usually walk over to the other turret.
The rolling ball part is the only thing that ever killed me. You can position it so he rolls into the trees and gets stunned for a second. DO NOT use the turrets for this phase.
After that he just keeps looping those attacks till you kill him. I did this on NG+
For me it was unbeatable boss first times, but you just need to adapt.
If u feels too hard to kill that boss - prepare. You can upgrade stamina, usually 1 upgrade in sewers level and one in woods lvl there is boss. Yes, you could need to restrart the game but this is ok. If you died after sewers level it's just better to restart from 1st lvl or you have not enough gear to survive.
So take medkits, armor. Hunting rifle and enough ammo, it's usually on 2nd level, sometimes 1st level, sometimes 3rd level.
And take shield (standard shield) in devices. You can use shield to block any attacks you missed to dodge or if no stamina.
Keep maximum long distance but with room to escape. If u close to boss his waves will kill u fast, but with distance and stamina upgrade ur stamina regenerates fast enough. Do not use covers on that boss, they do not work on all states.
About lasers - dodge or run to escape it's path, then just walk away from laser.
About roll - easy phase, just keep distance and shoot.
I usually do not use turrets and drones at this boss, but you can use it if u want. Just keep 1-2 for big enemies if u have not cleared map already.
And, dude, DO NOT use stationary century guns.U won't make it. Distance will be too close to regenerate enough stamina, they have little damage (like musi, 18 vs 14 dmg but lower firerate) and you will die or take lots of damage on lasers and roll boss states.
If u can't beat boss at all - happens to everyone, it's ok - u can find trainer for that game, it's exist and works. And enable infinity stamina to learn.
I beat that boss and others levels on hard without trainers, wish I beat all game one day. Good luck)
