Edit: Updated Steam Native Runtime and now I can get to the main menu. Can't play though, it get's stuck loading the map on "loading resources."
It's a known issue (on nmrih github) to get stuck loading, but it typically happens to people later in the loading process.
It seems the game is unplayable on Linux until the devs fix some things. But they don't have a Linux dev. A shame; it's one of my favories. Deleted and redownloading now, maybe that will help. Nope, no change.
videoconfig_linux.cfg
glshaders.cfg
inside /home/user/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/nmrih/nmrih/
afterwards i made steam re-validate the NMRiH files, it redownloaded like 1 file and stuff got fixed.
I believe that this bug is triggered by changing graphic settings inside the game because after changing video graphics the game again gets stuck at loading the menu after you restart it with new settings.
