No need for snide remarks. Not everyone is edgy or hardcore. Some people just want a casual and relaxed experience. As long as the higher difficulty modes aren't watered down it's not really your concern how others want to play.
I agree with this part of your post but not the rest.
I think there should only be one difficulty, HARDER, as this would teach players to LEARN TO PLAY, if they add in a way to change the difficulty it only shows they are bowing to the numbers and not staying true to their origins.
If I want an easy zombie game I'll play L4D on hard.
I agree. The fun is in the difficulty.
To many developers are bowing down to the "CoD, hold my hand" generation.
If anyone's looking for "a casual and relaxed experience" from NMRiH, then they're barking up the wrong tree.
Depends, teams of 4-8 who know what they are doing can walk through maps with ease.
