LAN servers are restricted to local clients (Class C)

Everytime I try to join it saies that "LAN servers are restricted to local clients (Class C)". any advice ? there was some posts that I need to open with " ` " and write sv_lan 0 but when I press " ` " nothing happens...

in your options on the keyboard tab click advanced then allow developer console, that will let you bring up the ~ menu to input commands

I think this is the default setting for clients any way or not used, since it's sv_
The error is from servers having it set to 1 or some other issue.
You can see the default value by typing sv_lan in console and hit enter

It just means its a lan game. So its probably friends playing on hamachi or something like that. You can't join them unless you are in the same network on hamachi or directly in lan with them. The 'sv_lan 0' command is when you want to HOST a lan game, not joining it.

If you see this message, it means the host you are trying to connect to did not set up their system correctly. They need to open the console and type 'sv_lan 0' AND they need to have the correct ports forwarded.

Hosting in this game is not as simple as more modern game engines, or consoles, which are frequently using UPnP technology. It takes the knowledge of a networking or computer science degree to figure out how to host.

It's a very simple process to host a dedicated server, it's just trying to host a server from the game itself that causes issues which holds true in many modern engines.

With hamachi it tooks like 30 seconds to host a server ... They pretty much explain everything when there is an problem.

И в итоге ничё не выяснили, мой друг создал сервер, прописал sv_lan 0 и я также не могу к нему зайти
