We are talking about a game with Zombies.
But then, even in Arma you can walk faster.
I wasn't talking about sprinting at any point.
And if I would walk as slow as this in real life,
I probably wouldn't even get out of the house before 6pm.
Uh, no.
The big point from what I've seen is to emulate a realistic zombie apocalypse. Most games like to look at it as "Mowing down zombies like a John Deere" and that's not everyone's cup of tea.
the game is cool >:(
Well, would you walk faster if there was a horde of zombies in the area?
I wouldn't. The idea is to not draw attention to yourself.
If they follow the L4D rules, you better run.
If they are like WD Zombies, you better sneak.
They could also add sneaking as a third option.
Sneak, Walk, Run.
I still don't see your point.
.
In the game, though, it makes sense - they can easily mob you if you get surrounded, and will gravitate toward you upon sight or sound. So it makes sense that you'd want to move carefully.
That said, you CAN run, but it's not a good idea unless you're already in danger of being mobbed.
And walking speed is decent if you're not carrying a ton of stuff.
