I'm lagging really bad in every server I played. I have a good internet and yet i still have lagg :(. Is there some way to fix this?

Hi first of all: How bad is it? Whats your latency?
Do you choose servers that are on your continent. If you sort the servers in the server list on latency you will get up the best for you.

I mostly experienced lag when i hosted a listen server and found some tips to try to make it run smoother.

I'm not at all an expert at this, but what i have done to reduce latency or lag is to disable nageling on the TCPip.
Check out these two links to get a hum about what it is and how you disable it. But be warned: You are taking a risk when editing the Windows registry. I did a windows system restore point before proceeding.

It worked for me but as you can see in the comments on the youtube clip its mixed results.
I also think that it might be a good idea to prioritize the program in the task manager. Get your task manager up by pressing "ctrl-alt-del". right-click on the program and choose "go to process" (or something like that) right-click on the process and click on "prioritize" (or something like that) and choose the highest.
Not sure it will work but it might depending on what the problem is.

Are we talking about "lag" as in FPS or "lag" as in network latency? People confuse the two, and are two very different problems.

Yup, I am confused... but couldn't low FPS be a sign of network latency?

ohk if it is fps problems go to your options. then go to video settings. then click advance settings. then enable multicore rendering.

if it is latency problems. check the servers lactency first before your join it.

Lagging late game is common as the servers can't handle the 200 zombies very well, but I usually play with under 20 ping otherwise.

I came here cause no other forum has this but i lag sometimes on no more room in hell so i put in -dxlevel 81 +mat_antialias 0 -sw -noborder -w 1366 -h 768 -console -novid -useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemsp -mat_picmip 10 -nopix it worked but when i attack zombies with weapons the weapons become invisible so i turned it off and it stop turing items invisible I saw one comment say you need Source SDK Base 2007 so i will try that
