The game isn't as "hard" as it simply just has a steep learning curve.

All you need is common sense.
If you find the game difficult, try not to rush so much. Rushing gets you killed many times. Just take your time, melee the zombies you have to, run past the others. Use bullets for runners and children, or if you have to clear a corridor / area where there's a quest item to be carried.
^ This.
People go into this game thinking "I'll play a quick round" or "I'm going to own those zombies and kick some arse."
No... It's not that game. That's Left 4 Dead. A great game in it's own right, but also where you can run in the middle of a massive swarm of zombies, get ravaged and still make it to the safe house. Between that time you can 'take a break' and go take a BM or Nap and the AI half the time is better than the player. That is not this game.
This game requires you, the player. Each person is a pivital part of the experience as each person has worth. They consume resources, and if they lone wolf it or don't deliver on par with what they consume, the whole team suffers. People need to play smart, play as a team, take their time and most importantly, survive as one!
Sprint (shift) is used to get past zombies. It's not representitive of the nature of the game. :)
That's why I love it!
I actually find that rushing through is the best thing you can do, other wise you give the zombies a chance to form a big horde. Just run through the zombies and shove/melee the ones that get in your way. This is of course more difficult to do with more people, but still possible if everyone stays close enough to save eachother from being grabbed & swarmed..
And this is a bad thing, how? Are you playing with anyone else or are you trying to solo?
I thought this is what I said here;
:P
But realtom there said a good tip; The melee range. Learn it. A lot of the new players are going too close to melee, and end up getting hit. I wouldn't shove after each swing, but knowing how to shove is one of the game mechanics that could mean the difference between getting away and getting eaten.
It's not impossible. Using all caps and expecting people to take you serious on the otherhand is. Wait, was that a troll reply?
