1.09: Medical Item Changes!!
Hey everyone!

Some of you have been making posts stating you're having issues with medical items. This is because we made changes to how you USE the items. Allow me to explain!

We made these changes to make the game more immersive. We had always wanted the player to have to use items, and we didn't like the videogamey "just click on it and magically consume it" setup we had since launch.

We finally got the animations made (courtesy of Rock) for ALL medical items. So now, in order to use a medical item, you do the following:
- Left-Click on the item in your inventory much like a weapon to equip it like a weapon
- Left-Click like you're attacking, and you'll apply the medical item to yourself
- Watch the pretty animation, and don't die in the process
- ???
- Profit!!!

You may also like to know that we've added a new item, called "Gene Therapy" - This item is an experimental antiretroviral vaccine developed by the CDC, NIH and WHO. It can both CURE and IMMUNIZE against Infection.... BUT it has a slight chance of a side effect! You may go temporarily, partially blind for 10 seconds after use! So be careful! But you'll never be infected again ;)

We hope this helps, and leave us any feedback or questions below!

i like the animations for the bandage and pills but the med kit i think its too much (long).

Well, the medkit heals a ton of of health and stops bleeding, so we felt it warranted having a longer animation since the benefit is greater.

After reading the changelog I thought the side effects would be more severe (high chances of dying, going completely blind for a few secs or partially for the whole duration of the round, and that without curing and even less giving immunity).

We had plans for complete blindness, as well as the super rare chance it could rapidly infect you instantly, but we opted against those to keep it simple for now.
what is the command code for this ?

The same as usual,item_pills,item_first_aid,item_bandages.

But if you're curious about the gene code,it is item_gene_therapy.

I remember there is a "Give" animation. How can I do that? and can we do that to pass ammo to the others too?

Love the new healing animations. Adds a lot of immersion. (In first person perspective, at any rate.)

I think the medicial kit animations where a superb addition. Great work!!
And I had problems realising the changes added. Mayb consider adding a prompt or two in game for any fundamental changes made to existing features (or new ones added) for next time.

Doesnt have to be a massive wall of text, just a few short sentences telling the player what tehy need to do. I had several players in game ask the same question.

Mayb have the prompts activate when an item is used at the start of "each" game. Then have a switch-off button with the prompt, which will disable further prompts going forwards.

- Now if you could implement a "give" item feature .... :)
