Low frame rate, tips?
I know there are already some options to lower or raise the quality of the game but there should be options to allow people with bad computers the ability to run the game properly. I have a terible computer and got this game but I run the game on less than 10 fps. I really want to play this game, I am sure I am not the only person who can't run this game.

I know there are options already in the game and I have made them the lowest but I would really appreciate some tips to running games quicker.

Optimizing your computer can help to get more fps, such as doing defrags on your hdd, and your registries. If you have already set everything to minimum, I wouldn't bother attempting to play, just buy a better system, or consider upgrading your videocard. You can probably buy a very cheap video card for like $5-$10 that could run NMRIH on medium graphics.

Considering how scaleable the Source engine behind this game is, if you're having trouble running the game at all low settings, you really should consider buying a new computer/upgrading. Games have minimum requirements for a reason, if you want to make a more interesting/ambitious game, it's going to take more horsepower to run that game, no getting around it.

Where and off the back of what truck are you getting modern graphics cards for "$5-10"? Lol. TC - if the rest of your system (CPU, RAM etc.) is relatively recent and you're using a desktop, an $80-100 GPU will make quite a difference. Not only that, you'll be able to play a lot more/newer games.

If you know people, and talk with people, you can get older 512mb-1gb graphics cards that would perfectly run NMRIH no problem for $5-$10. Of course you wouldn't be able to buy brand new cards for that price.
