One of the best zombie survival games I ever played. Perfect ambience and theme of hopelessness with fun maps/campaigns and story(?). Definitely a hidden gem, I love this game and miss playing it. Might take some getting used to but I promise it’s worth it!

There is no accounting for tastes

Although I would like to tell you to give it a chance. There are many community servers with different modes: casual, classic, nightmare, .... some have only vanilla maps (official) and many others also have community maps. And then there are servers that have modifications to have infinite ammunition.

I would love to answer but I cant join any games at all. If I find one that isnt russian or english I have to download stuff that takes ages

Go into your settings and set it so that the game/servers will only download map files to your PC, and not things like custom player models, etc.

that's a question which can only be answered subjectively. some people i played with have had tons of fun with the game, others disliked it almost immediately. best to look for some youtube gameplay videos or just try it out (since it is free), although going in solo is not recommended, especially not in the beginning and as it is with most coop games, the most fun to be had is when playing with friends.

Well, game could be slow and claustrophobic, it's not run-and-gun zombie shooter like Left 4 Dead or Call of Duty zombie modes. Sometimes it can be tedious, but I still prefer this over l4d, you just have to adjust to its rules, that you are no superhero, there's no piles of ammo lying everywhere and you are short on every supply this game has. Anyway, feeling of awesomeness when you barely slipped in between of two groups of slow walker zombies is still unbeatable
