In previous updates, the game had a full dev team, programmers, animators, mappers, etc. Now, it has been reduced to a single programmer and a few mappers, since most efforts are going into NMRiH 2. Still, it's very kind of them that they care about the first installment and managed to hire a programmer that fixed a huge amount of bugs and made the 1.10 update possible, improving many many things in the game.
oh wait
yeah this is something I'd like to fix but I dunno how likely it is right now. We'll look into how easy a fix this can be.
Make a post for an issue but not expect a promising response?
Yeeeeeeees
Actually gets a response like a boss
Hope time

Start up a listen server with northway.
Turn on cheats (sv_cheats 1) and disable AI (ai_disable)
Grab a flashlight and one-hand melee weapon.
Type 'thirdperson' in the console.
Use the flashlight key.
Toggle between 'thirdperson' and 'firstperson'.
Notice that for almost all of the one-hand melee weapons, the flashlight in your left hand is pointing about 45 degrees towards the ground, regardless of where you're looking. The only exception is the cleaver, and that's pointing 45 degrees above where you're looking in thirdperson. That's what everyone else sees when you use the flashlight with one-hand melee.
