Q: When does NMRiH2 come out!?
A: Soon relative to the cosmic calendar! But we can't safely guess right now. Once we get closer to a polished product we can put a more firm date. Thank you for your patience!
Keep in mind this is what they fckn say on their steam discussions page:
"When is NMRiH2 coming out?
We are aiming to hopefully have a fully playable early access-type build by Q4 of 2018"
Their last post on twitter was sometime last year December.
Not to mention their blog literally says "We’re a bit behind our original plans thanks to natural disasters, but we’re aiming to do Early Access by early 2019" and, yeah, sure, behind their original plans. I get that. But that's all that's on their blog in the FAQ.
And lastly, I just checked their actual "dev blog" on their site. Last update was early April 2019, so, yeah, cool. But...It's just them saying "we lost our community manager and are figuring out his stuff" and an image of "blood masks" which is pretty cool tbh but arguably unnecessary, along with a few other locations (that could've already been there, I recognise some from other blog posts). And the post before that was December 2018.
While I can admit they've done quite a bit lately, it's still pretty sucky that it's been delayed so much, and they're hardly communicating.
Sorry for the weirdly formatted and long post. I posted each paragraph separately because I'd find more information, then I realised I should just put them all in one post.
I'm sorry if you haven't seen that but it does happen, and we're actively working on the game.
I say this all the time, but we're just a group of guys working on this part time, spread around the world. We have to deal with timezones and communication issues plus our day jobs and our families (most of us have kids and stuff). We give dates for things like early access and that's based on our best guess based on current trajectories. We can't control everything and we're often wrong which is why we no longer give estimates.
It's our fault for not keeping the FAQ on the Steam hub updated but as I said we're always engaged with everyone in the Discord server. We don't have a PR team or anything so keeping all these different sites and stuff up to date isn't easy when we're spread so thin.
We're doing our best but once again we're not working on this full time. I know you're excited, and impatient, but I'm asking you to cut us some slack and we'll keep you updated as transparently and as frequently as we can.
But it doesnt matter at all. I they fail, wold will continue anyway. One more or less game is expendable.
I very much enjoyed the first game, Havn't played it for years but would be happy to buy a new one once it is completed. So keep up the work and you will have a customer whens its ready :)
Anyhow, don't always believe that a flood of screenshots and content/media releases is indicative of progress. Remember that Anthem had TONS of visual content and advertising released for it, while Apex Legends was completely silent until it surprised everyone with a release. Out of those two, one grossly under delivered and was completely un-finished, while another was surprisingly polished (except the net code lol). Just saying, sometimes a PR Team working overtime to sell people on a game is not for the benefit of the community.
When we are late on blog or media release, it's entirely because we are too busy working on actual content, not because we are busy being lazy. Hell, I actually minimized my current NMRiH 2 work in order to write this response.

(The slider I am going nuts on is called, "Combat_Detection" ^_^)
P.S. Maxx was home sick today from work, feels beyond terrible and instead of resting, he's online because he's dedicated to his baby (NMRiH2). That pretty much sums up the team's level of dedication, so worry not friends, we're on it. :D
