Though this game has a kick-ass aesthetic, I could never recommend it to anyone. The combat is awful, bullets run out fast and melee is just a guarantee damage trade with enemies. Either have better melee options or infinite ammo base gun, the lack of both is entirely un-fun. Also being flung backwards by the basic enemy type like I was hit by a bosses heavy attack is laughable. The slower, tactical approach to combat would feel better if the opposition didn't feel like it was from a more traditional metriodvania. To break the rules correctly, you must first understand them correctly, and I know these guys can do a better job given their previous work.
