I have the same problem except it's all white. The devs know about it and are working on it.
What setup?
rtx 5090 and R7 9800x3d 64go ram. i have try today to launch it on dx11 and no more black screen during a 3h session
Maybe a problem with the nvidia drivers... in addition to the rtx 5090 making headlines, not just because of the connectors that burn (probably because nvidia is at the end of its technology, without considering AI chips, I don't know, it would be a quality problem, says the press).

i don't think so it's not a pure black screen the hud and icon still visible you can pause game quit etc.

In this case it confirms my point, because it looks like a problem with the assembly of the parts of the rendering. I don't know how modern graphics cards work, but it's, purely hypothetical for the idea, as if different planes to mix, some were not.

Typical of a graphics calculation problem and therefore driver and its API code, some intermediate frames lost, I guess.

In any case, this is a purely algorithmic problem on the Windows/DX/Driver/Game side or on the chip side.

Are Radeons affected?

i never experienced that in any other game and have no problem in any other game that i play actually. nvidia driver suck this day i know that but i'm pretty sure that a bug from game because each time it happen it was on the same location old ballard. it's an early access so it's ok i will play on dx11 until they fix it
Indeed, I was not explicit, and I could be wrong anyway, but in the end, it seems to be a problem with one or more lines of code in the game that "exploit a defect" somewhere between DX12 API therefore, and/or the driver, and/or the GPU. If DX11 works, then DX12?
