Ys II
"Connect Ys I to Ys II" ??
What does this do exactly, without spoilers? I just got my last achievement on Ys I and went to try Ys II, and saw this option in the config tool. I don't know if I wanna start the game since I wanna know what I should do for this option XD

All it does is start Ys II automatically when you finish Ys I, and I think it may also carry over some of your graphics and audio settings as well, but I'm not sure on that.

So it just saves you a few seconds of time is all. There is no gameplay bonus or anything like that, at least none that I've heard of.

npc notes only i guess.

The NPC notes seem to be there even if the 'connect' thing is not checked, I think. I never ended up checking it, but I started Ys II with the NPC notes on Goban, the Priests, etc.

after finishing ys1, ys2 crashes on me...strange. however, nothing seems to change at all and all available npc notes are there when starting the 2nd part...

I'm pretty sure at this point, connecting them does nothing other than opens Ys 2 for your after you finish Ys 1 in case you want to seamlessly play them back-to-back.
I am almost positive it also makes your settings (such as controller inputs) carry over from Ys I to Ys II.
