3DMark
3DMark Telling Me to Disable GSync, when I don't have a GSYNC Monitor
I have a 1440p 144hz Freesync monitor, but freesync is off since I have an Nvidia GPU.
I'm running in the 3DMark Demo.
When I run a test I only get a graphics score and not a CPU score, so my overall score is 0.

I'm running a GTX 1070, i5 4690K @3.5GHz, and 16GB Ram.

Looks like this is a bug in NVIDIA driver - if you modify the rendering quality setting to "quality" it internally changes G-Sync to "On" even if you have no G-Sync display and this throws off the warning. It is purely a warning and doesn't matter at all if you are sure you do not have G-Sync display.

We've reported the issue to NVIDIA and hopefully they can fix it at some point.

You can safely ignore the warning if you have no G-Sync monitor.

If you reinstall nvidia drivers with custom -> perform a clean install to reset all settings, it also goes away.

Third option is to use nvinspector to disable the hidden g-sync setting (the setting is not shown in the driver config panel without a compatible monitor)

Damn this was from a year ago.

This is NVIDIA driver bug. They switch the G-Sync switch internally to On even without G-Sync monitor if you modify rendering quality. Workarounds are:

- Ignore it. It is purely a warning. If you have no G-Sync monitor, it does not matter.

- Reinstall drivers with custom - perform a clean install which resets the settings

- Use Nvidia Inspector tool to turn the G-Sync off.

Download Nvidia Inspector, go to Nvidia Profile Inspector within the app, and all of your g-sync options will be available for you to change, I just did it and it works.

Can confirm this is still a issue. Good lord NVIDIA

970gtx with custom bios (200% power limit etc) also shows up as G-sync. I use a 42" TV as my screen så theirs no hidden g-sync thingy.
Only a warning! 3d Mark will work as usual :)
Better than nvidia´s drivers that strangles the card on power.....The card acts and works best with 144% power +120 core, +300mem and +12mv
Roughly 1500 mhz on the core and 8200mhz on the memory :)
I DO HAVE 3 case fans on the card! Temp is always good! Two 120mm as base and one 140mm over / in the middle.
DONT INSTALL THE CUSTOM BIOS IF YOU`RE NEW TO OVERCLOCKING! THIS CAN SET YOUR HOUSE ON FIRE IF YOU DO IT WRONG AND ARE UNLUCKY!
Also you can easily burn your card! Dont give it 200% power and +38mv current, hehe.

I mean i really appreciate that you're actively answering questions and try to work with the community, but did it cross your mind it's maybe your software that's buggy here?

I'm using this since 5 minutes and already encountered several "bugs".

Theres's a button to disable sound. Doesn't work.
When i exit the software Steam opens in full screen on the community page. Why? Either intentional (extremely annoying and irritating) or, a bug.

Just exited and the program kept running, unable to close or restart Steam.
Kind of remarkable and rather concerning.

I'm pretty sure Nvidia does have good reason to not fix their "bug" to be honest.

I mean you had like a year to fix this? But it's totally that other guys fault?

A fairly minor issue on our list to fix.

I assume you are running Steam Demo. Steam does this whenever you exit a demo - it is actually supposed to automatically open the store page, but I assume recent changes to the Steam has made it wonky. We literally cannot control this. Advanced, when it exists, just exits.

This is most likely because you still have a browser open that was opened by 3DMark. Until that browser is closed, the process that started it keeps running. I do not know for sure if this is fixable or not, but we know this occurs.

We ask NVIDIA drivers is G-Sync on and the driver tells it is on even without compatible monitor. It also can turn on just by changes in quality settings from default, even without compatible hardware, all while the actual setting for G-Sync is hidden from the control panel. Seems like a bug to me. You can always get NVIDIA inspector and use it to turn off G-Sync in drivers and the problem goes away.
