Tips for beating Ricky?

I have no problem getting him to spawn, although it is a little annoying wandering around looking for him, I wish he'd just stay put. But I suck badly at the bumper car battles. I can't tell if I'm just missing something or if I just totally suck at it (very possible). Most battles I don't get any hits in. It's the only thing I have left to do.

I heard that you can just jump out your car and beat him... but if you want to do it with the car... the trick for me was that you don't just push the turbo button but hold the turbo button down. The moment I learned that I was able to beat him.

Boost at him after he boosts at you... so long as you managed to avoid his attack.

Focus on avoiding his attacks first and foremost, I usually just kind of drive circles around him. Also try to stay decently far away from the walls so you dont get stuck. You can kind of lure him to drive into the wall as well, then you can hit him while he takes a second to back up and line up his attack
