Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Neither Lyons nor Rothchild will talk to me. Please help.
First off, I apologize for the length of this post but I just can't seem to find an answer anywhere. I triggered that known bug at the end of American Dream where you trigger the Rothchild and the Lyons talk but then leaving before they initiate dialogue with you which results in no one talking to you when you come back and you are unable to end the quest and start Take it Back. I resolved this via console commands (completeallobjectives and setstage commands I believe) in order to be able to start Take it Back and follow Liberty Prime to the purifier. After finishing the final main quest, Lyons talked to me as I woke and I began the Broken Steel content. Unfortunately, Rothchild still would not talk to me. I ended up using console commands to advance so I could get the next objectives for Death from Above.

Following this I proceeded to go back and finish exploring the Wasteland, complete a few sidequests, and finish some of the other DLCs. Tonight I turned back to the BS content, with the intention of finishing it and retiring the game on a high note. Unfortunately, after getting the satellite uplink data, Rothchild still won't talk to me. I used console commands to move on and now Elder Lyons won't talk to me (I'm guessing he only did at the beginning of BS since it was a quest triggered dialogue). I've exhausted what little knowledge I have with console commands (resetting the quest, advancing to the next stage, clearing cache, deleting npc and respawning, cloning, etc.) to no avail. One thing I noticed during this process is that both characters are invincible (I can only knock them unconscious) and attacking them has no effect on how other Brotherhood members that witness it react to me. Everyone just treats me as if I was about to go the purifier ("Good luck."). I'm at a loss. I guess I could continue to advance stages with console commands but if Lyons won't talk to me, I'm guessing the rest of the content is going to have zero immersion if I do that. After 100 hours I'm pretty close to burnout and don't have the energy to start over just to access the content. This is a last ditch plea for help before I retire the game and probably never get so invested in a future game again out of fear.

Oh yeah, I was using no mods when the bug triggered and I began the BS content. I am using some now but disabling them makes no difference. I've also unchecked the BS DLC to see if it makes a difference with no luck so I'm assuming that uninstalling and reinstalling BS won't have any effect. I wander if there is some way to set their AI scripts to advance to the appropriate interactions for the stage I'm on but have no clue how to do so.

Thanks in advance for any help!

ore remove them from the game via console comands then add them back in with the geck. also if you go on fallout 3 nexus there are mulltiple unofficial fixes for bugs!

Thanks for the response thousandcanine. I tried leaving for a few days and searched the nexus forums with no luck. I previously tried using console commands to disable and re-enable the characters but didn't use the geck at all so if anyone else has this issue they should probably give that a try. I ended up just using console commands to get to the second BS DLC and it ended up working out since you don't have to talk to either of them for objectives for the last two quests.
