Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

German Fallout Version
(I'm gonna write this in German because this only affects them)

Grüße, die deutsche Version ist laut Steam "only available with German language", kann man also weder Gesprochenes, noch das Menü auf englisch stellen? Wenn ja,
a) warum? Low Violence ist ja noch beschränkt nachvollziehbar, aber die Sprache beschränken? und
b) kann man das irgendwie umgehen? Mit low voilence hab ich kein Problem, aber auf Englisch spielen ist mir dann doch sehr wichtig.

(Google trans sucks.) Try the Nexus (Or what ever its called.) there might be a mod to help you out.
http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/?
hmm it seems to me that i cant read it ill try my tranlator app
ok good sir i have no idea what u mean do u have problems on making it to ur language

german
ok guter Herr, ich habe keine Ahnung, was meinst du damit Probleme haben auf die es in Ihre Sprache
Well, I guess I should have said that since this only affects Germans, only them can help me ;) sorry.
The problem is that in Germany they cut the original game quite a bit as well as only enabling German language, whereas I prefer to play games in English (as well as uncut, but that's secondary to me). So I was hoping that someone might know how to play the game here in Germany in the original version or at least in English.
I also asked in the German Steam help place. Turns out that if I manage to get a foreigner to gift me his non-German version I get to play it uncut & in English, so it would seem that I got my solution
Again, sorry for the confusion, and thanks for trying to help me! :butterfly:

Hm... per Steam kann man die Sprache definitv nicht umstellen... die Sprache ist wirklich ''only aviable in german''

Warum weiß wohl nur Bethesda ...

Fürn Fix fllt. googlen oder direkt die Uncut kaufen

English

There is no option to play a german Fallout 3 Version in English, at least not officialy througth
Steam. Why ? Only Bethesda may know... For other solutions use Google or purchase the Uncut Version directly

This is ridicullous. Why in the world would you remove the option to change the language? I can understand that german people are comfortable with the german language in movies/games but still, take out the option from the guy that buys the game?

LAAAMMMEEEE

A bit offtopic but funny: If you buy the basic version of New Vegas you see this Note: "Low Violence: German low violence version only available with German language." But the New Vegas Ultimate Edition is entirely uncut and available in ANY language... Well, we germans don't understand this as well :D

Only problem: Technically the german version of NV is still cut, you can´t run certain mods on it. It just looks uncut.

Wrong :D

Bethesda cuted the Standart German Version, because they wanted a rating for every price.
Later, when the Ultimate Edition was released, they 've send an uncut international version to the USK to test, just thinking ''Let's give it a try''. But they've got their rating without any changes. (So in fact, the cut of the normal version was just a precautionary measure which turned out later as unneccessary)

Yep, this is the most annoying point about the cut.

Don't buy low violence or otherwise censored versions. They often have severe limitations that come with the neutering, like in this case missing languages or not woking mods and/or addons!
This only encourages them to make more. Vote with your wallet! DO NOT BUY!

Well yeah i bought the game latley and im also quite diapointed that you can't change the langhuage to english.
Im a German but most of the time i prefer to mplay games in english, it's very stupid that they took the feature out to change the language, so now i have to endure the lame german version
Again, for those who haven't bought die German version yet, get a foreigner to gift you the game that they bought in their region, works around the silly censoring and language barriers.

Again, for all german people who are really an adult:

Order the game in Austria / Switzerland (if you want german language) or amazon.uk (Games just in english but a bit cheaper than here).

No ''gifting'' needed, no problem with the cut.

Seesh, no need to call me not an adult.
You won't be able to add games to your Steam Library with your method though, some people like having their games fully connected to Steam. But sure, this works just as fine.
