Map marker won't move?
The marker showing me where to go for quests on the little compass on the bottom left will not move, it's frozen to the left side. Help?

Are you indoors? Have you placed any personal map markers?

No and no. Happens indoors and out doors.

I can't find any references to this problem. Do you have any mods? How long have you had this problem and have you tried restarting the game?

Had this problem right after I killed the super mutant behemoth with the BoS, and it told me to go in the Galaxy News station and take the fat man from a brother hood guy. No mods installed.

You can try this console command......tm.......it will toggle off the display HUD. It's used for taking clean screenshots. Then do it again to make it reappear.

I'll keep looking.

That didn't work

You can try this. Go into Documents / My games / Fallout 3 / FalloutPrefs.ini and open this file.

If you press control and F you will get a window open. Type in bShowQuestMarkers=1

Then click Find Next. When you find it change the value from 1 to 0. close and save. Restart the game. There should be no markers in your HUD.

Now I don't know but if you close the game and go back and reenable the quest markers it might work properly.

bShowQuestMarkers=1 - If set to =0, this variable will disable the quest markers which appear at the very bottom of your compass, pointing in the direction of your active quest (FalloutPrefs.ini).
