Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

I'm not hearing any of the ambient music or the tranquility lane theme
The only mods I use are the performance mods recommened in the ultimate setup guide.(I followed that guide religiously). I also launch the game through fose. At first, i didn't really notice the lack of ambient music, but when I got to tranquilty lane, that famous catchy music did not play.

I have no idea how this is happening. I looked in my folders and the mp3s are still there. The only setting I changed in-game was in the audio section's master volume (the default was too loud for my headphones.)

I tried looking this up on the internet, but have found literally nothing

Granted, fallout 3 is suppose to be a fairly quiet game, but I remember there were times, particularly when exploring, where there was minimalistic music.

Could anybody help me?

It turns out that I can hear the music again when I raise the music volume higher in the settings. This is wierd because I thought the whole point of master volume was to lower or raise everything down at the same time. Everything but the music was working at a appropriate volume when I lowered the master volume. So why did the music not scale with the rest of the audio settings?

Now I have to put the music almost all the way up to even hear it. (unless I put everything back to default, which I don't want to do becasue I'm using headphones.)

Fallout 3 is weird.
