Mothership Zeta, "Not Of This World" Won't start. Please help! :(

I have the quest, "Not of this world" and have walked to the crash site. HOWEVER, when I enter the area my character freezes in place, hud disappears, screen blurs, and then clears again.
Leaving me frozen in place (Able to look around, but no HUD, Pip Boy, weapons... Etc.. Etc.)
and the DLC having failed to start? The game made out like I was about to be abducted! But seems that something went wrong? thus nothing happened.
I've tried reinstalling fallout along with the DLC to no avail.
Tried compatibility mode.
Tried forcing two cores both in the INI and Task manager.
Tried restarting game.
Tried using earlier saves.
Tried disabling and renabling the DLC.
Tried removing the DLC and then verifying integridy of game cache.
Tried verifying integridy of game cache.
None of these have worked, any suggestions? Please help :(

wish i had a clue. you already tried everything i would have suggested. maybe go delete it from the hard drive alltogether and reinstall it? though it looks like you may have tried that. don't uninstall from steam. it allways seems to leave files behind.
