Movement Speed Issues

Hey all,
Needing a bit of help. Was trying to play the game today after re-downloading it but I can't move faster than a very slow crawl - think encumbered in Skyrim levels of slow. Press caps and there's so little movement that I'd probably get further staying still.

I really want to play this game but this so intensely frustrating and I've no idea how to fix it.

In case anyone needs to know: WIndows7, GOTY edition. I'm not over-encumbered (110 out of 210) and pressing caps or L-Shift just makes me go even slower.

I too am having the same issue, even after i changed the game settings to a higher base movement speed and upping the movement multi speed. I actually walk/run slower than the default settings. In other words, the game settings backfired on me. I can't change it back to default speed, its still stuck in slow.

Hit your caps lock, if you speed up, then hit pipboy and turn off caps lock.

Capslock slows me down even further and very much not over weight. 120/210. Much graaaargh noises.

Figured it out. I'm an idiot. After you put in setgs fmoverunmult # , you have to fire your gun and then that initiates the faster walking.

Everytime you come back into the game to play it (relaunch it from Steam), you have to enter the console command over again. sets fmoverunmult # . 4 is the default walk speed. For me 7 or 8 was the right speed.
