Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Fallout 3 + FNV (Both all DLC) vs FNV: Tale of Two Wastelands
So I'm currently on my first (not counting restarts) play-through of both games, currently using Tale of Two Wastelands, but starting in Capital/Vault 101.

Obviously this means I can't get FO3 achievements, but I was wondering if there was any other real reason I should consider playing the games separately? (Obviously the videos I watched on Youtube were all pro-TTW)

Ive played about 120 hours of ttw and 500 of fo3. The difference is mods and performance (I mean crashes ctds and such not fps) and mods. If you want less crashes and buggieness go for FNV ttw. Though ttw doesnt have the great mods fo3 does such as FWE mmm etc...Mods=fo3 performance=FNV. Fo3 just tends to break easily with mods.
Mods wise I have:
TTW & Hotfixes (& about half the optional bits)
a TTW-compatible Inventory Sorter
a body replacer that seems to have missed 1 or more Raider ladies (it comes up on about 2/3rds of them)
an Armor replacer for compatibility with the body one
One HUD (which I'm only actually using for the clock...)
The Mod Configuration Menu
& a Pose Mod which was based an FO3 one anyway.

Mods aren't a huge thing for me so far, so I'll take your response as supporting FNV for my needs.

Thanks!
The mods make all the difference and porting over the mods by yourself is difficult at best. That said, the gameplay is MUCH better. The big supermutants are tanks and hit like trucks, wielding light machine guns, versus the Tribeams, which makes A LOT more sense. In Fallout 3, supermutants are cannon fodder, chew up and spit out. It also takes far fewer mods to get the thing up and running (FWE, iron sights, etc etc). The combat in TTW with Project Nevada is SO Satifying, the Crafting is SO much better, and it felt totaly awesome to load up Classic Fallout Weapons, take a Ma Duece off of a Mutie, reapir it, then ragdoll the F*ckers with explosive rounds. Worth every cap. It finally felt like Fallout.

If you like the Fallout 3 story, and I HATED everything about Fallout 3 vanilla, TTW is a great upgrade. For someone like me where all Fallout 3 is suck (minus DLCs, I liked those once you add in the green mods) except for what mods can scrape together, Fallout 3 with heavy, heavy mods is the only way to go.
I'm enjoying the FO3 story as told through FNV/TTW.

I gather I may be missing some flavour (such as images?) on some of the terminal messages, though that might just be because I missed a step when reading them.
