Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Oops did I just skip a big chunk of the main quest?
I've recently started F3, I went to Megaton and started doing a few quests there and generally went out exploring. I had spoken to Moriarty and was supposed to go the Galaxy news Radio but that seemed quite far away so decided to leave it until later.

I had 3 things that were poiniting me to Rivet City so I went there and while I was there I spoke to a lady in the science lab and she knew who I was and where my father was. This immediately completed the previous "Following in his Footsteps" and started "Scientific Pursuits".

But according to a guide I've seen there should have been a whole "Galaxy News Radio" quest in between. Have I just missed out on that now or can I just wander up that way and still do it? (If a little out of order)

You kinda rushed a little bit through the main questline, but don't worry, there is no wrong playstyle in Fallout :) Don't forget to grab the Intelligence Booblehead for more Skill points to spend after each level up

Yeah that was one of the reasons I went there to get the Bobblehead. But do you know if I can go back and do the missing quest later? I was not intending to rush it!

Well, if you talk to three dog he will either tell where you dad went right awaay ot you have to complete the quest he gives you. The one where you have to go to the museum of technology to get the antenna on the washington monument to work.
Yes, but you only missed one quest where you have to get a sattelite dish from the Museum of Technology to boost the GNR signal. I'm not sure whether or not you can do the quest if you've already passed that point in the main quest, but I always try to do the quest even if I have the speech kill to get past it so I can hear GNR through the whole wasteland and not just in the DC area.
Ok thanks, guess I'll swing by there at some point and have a chat to Three Dog!
Eh, that game has so much replay value that it really doesn't matter.
He'll still ask you to fix the transmitter. He'll offer you a weapon stash for your help. I don't think you'll meet Lyon's Pride outside of GNR, though.
I went back and did the quest. It was tricky because I didn't encounter the Brotherhood of Steel guys until outside the GNR building (with the huge mutant) so I had to fight through the ruins on my own. I couldn't kill the mutant as there was no fat man so he's still hanging out there. Finished the quest though and yeah I got the weapons cache.
