FO3Edit problems
I've been using the Ultimate Fallout 3 setup guide to get started on using mods. I've had close help from a friend, who's pretty pro at this stuff. He's been walking me through the whole process. I started at step 6 with Unofficial update patch and went down the list from there.

I had no problems at all getting things setup until I got to the FO3Edit program. After downloading a few mods, installing and activating them in NMM. I downloaded the current version of FO3Edit and executed the program so I could do the merge patch and get all my mods loaded in the right order.

That's when all the problems started. Upon executing the FO3Edit program the Master/Plugin Selection window opened with a list of my activated mods. I hit OK and then got an error window that popped up. It stated the following:

"An error occured while loading modules. Editing is disabled. Check the message log and correct the error".

I then hit Ok on the error window and nothing else happened. I scrolled down to the bottom of the right window pane and it stated background loader finished. There was also a message higher up on the list that stated:

Background Loader: [ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa] Skipped.

Not sure if this means anything though. In the left window pane there were no mods listed at all and I was unable to perform the merge patch, obviously.

We tried everything. From deactivating and reactivating mods, doing one mod at a time, to running FO3Edit with no mods activated in NMM. Even completely deleting the mods and re-installing them from scratch. Same error message and results happened. What set us off on trying everything was the fact that some mods initially were not listed in the Master/Plugin Selection window. Something I noticed shortly after beginning this ordeal. Even with no mods activated in NMM, I got the same error msg. in FO3Edit upon starting the program.

I even tried a different version of FO3Edit and the out come was the same. We even went as far as trying to move FO3Edit directly into my Fallout 3 goty folder and ran it from there just out of curiosity. Same results. Nadda.

This issue has left us scratching our heads. The current version of FO3Edit that I'm using is:

FO3Edit 3.0.32 Experimental. The guy that's been helping me uses the same version on his computer and has no problems at all with it.

FOSE is installed and so is the 4gb patch.

The mods I was initially trying to install were:

NMC texture package (maximum pack)
EVE
CASM
Enclave armor mod
More Map Markers
GNR radio enhanced mod - all mods are recommended in the guide. All were up to date.

Note: The NMC and Enclave armor mods would never list in FO3Edit at all. No matter what.

I'm running windows7 64 bit and my GPU is a Nvidia GTX 570. Also 16 gig of RAM.

If anyone can be of any help in this matter, I'd really appreciate it. This has been quit hectic dealing with. :)
