Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Where do my save files go???
Hey, so I have Fallout 3 on my external hd. I got a new laptop, plugged the ext into it, and figured I'd just be able to load my save file. Nope. How can I figure out where my save files are going? I'm assuming they're not on the ext for some reason even though the game itself is saved on the ext

why don't you just look? we gave you both paths to the save files.
I have an internal hard drive in my laptop. I have an external I connect to it, which is what I have the entire fallout 3 game saved on to. I am asking if my save files (like when you click start and then save the game) can somehow be saved on my internal hard drive even though all other fallout 3 game files are on my external, because when I connect my external to a new laptop, it has the game alreayd there, but when I try to load my ga,e there is no option for it, only new game

do you not have access to the laptop and external drive to look?

I do, but not sure where to look on the laptop since I don't have any Steam files on it

did you look in the two places we told you to? neither one of those paths have steam in them.
Yeah sorry I was busy with school and got locked out m room and stuff, I just checked and it is in the place the other guys posted. Now I just copy that folder, move it to my ext, and then from my ext move it to the same place in my laptop hard drive? Or is there any way for me to make the save files go to the ext instead of the hd
I really need help. I have found my save files, and I copied them into the same place on my laptop, but still it won't let me load my previous games

if you put the save files in the same place, your game on the new computer should think the save files belong to it and use them. is there something different with the game between the two computers? like one's using FOSE and one isn't? even if one were the base game and one were the GOTY, i can't see why it wouldn't work.
my guess is you really didn't get the saves in the same spot.
i might also be missing something. not much sleep last night.
I think it has something to do with the Windows Live thing messing it up

maybe. either install the GFWL update, use FOSE or run the disabler mod on both games.

Just copy the save files out of your GFWL folder, so you have them in both the 'My Games\Fallout3\Saves' and in 'My Games\Fallout3\Saves\Ragestew'
