Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

So Is The Fallout 3 Remaster Real Then?
There was those leaked documents a long time back that said something about Fallout 3 and Oblivion remaster.

With the Oblivion remaster being real, because of the recent leak. That means the Fallout 3 one must be also?

Maybe not for a year or two after Oblivion one releases, but it will be.

i hope so
yeah "leak" uh huh. :-) oops we forgot to set the default permisss... oh right it defaults to locked down, you got us, we did it.

it does seem to be real, but also consider, if Virtuos figures figures out a way to make esp DLCs and mods workable under UE5, this will open up a framework to update all the old Gamebryo titles, since, let's face it, without mods, no one cares about some stupid remake just for better graphics... with no new content? ugh.

but mod support without any conversion necessary would probably make them millionaires, because Beth is lazy and would just pay them to do it, but sadly the reverse, death is too good for them! or whatever... it could die in obscurity in the 0.99 bargain bin, the only players being people born after ~2007 who never knew of the legacy they're buying into.

that and the devs will go into hiding erasing their online personae because of the constant harassment and people geolocating their home addresses and IPs and photographing them shopping for groceries and various stalkery and death-threaty kind of behaviour... gamers are an emotional bunch, and fanboys are downright armed and dangerous. Todd hires bodyguards for every tradeshow for a reason, he's had some close calls over the years.

I think it's very possible, especially considering that Bethesda is a client for Virtuos Games, the same company that is remastering Oblivion. And don't forget, a Fallout 3 Remaster was listed in the same document that listed the Oblivion Remaster.

I could see them even dropping a Fallout 3 Remaster around the same time as when Season 2 of the Fallout tv series drops.

It will be released at the same time as season 2 of the show. The port for The Last of US part 2 has already been completed for months, but they are waiting for season 2 of the show.

no.

FO3 does not need a remastered, remake, reboot, definitive edition.

Because:
FO3 is for everyone who understands this game, in the Top3 of the games of all time.
Today 2025 absolutely flow fun gameplay, and timeless asthetics.

Because:
FO3 is available in the cload gaming. So as a Re-Release.
(compare Nightdive Studios)

Because:
On YouTube I don't know any demand that there should be a fo3 remastered, remake, reboot, definitive edition.

What I hope is that there will be an AI tool soon or as soon as possible, with which you and I, can have a REMAKE all the unappealing modern (shooters) games, in the form
"Fallout 3 Total Conversion Mod"

Regarding "definitive edition":
I don't think about improving, I don't think differently.
I just think about it, You should delete certain content in order to give the end result more overview because of the lack of "narrative design".
delete:
- wiki/Calvert_(brain)
delete:
- player can use wiki/Big_Guns without wiki/Power_armor_(Fallout_3)

Fallout 4 NEED a Remake, Reboot, Reimagined.
Compare FO4 with:
- Fallout 3 2008
- Days Gone 2021
- The Last of Us ! + II
- Sons of the Forest 2024
- Fallout 4: "London" 2024
- Kingdome Come Deliverance 2018
- Red Dead Redemption 2 2018

I only play fo4 because I am interested in the topic - theme.
Or as an appendix to FO3.
In FO4, almost nothing makes sense in implementation. I understand the basic idea, but the implementation is not an acceptable end result.
FO4 is no experience in this implementation.

I think it's real. My guess is that it will release in 2027-2028. I'm assuming that elder scrolls 6 will release around that time as well so I'm not sure how that'll work in practice though.

This likely will not happen. If time shows me wrong, revive this post, I will gladly eat crow. But the same (or even close) level of mod support? Not going to happen.

Fallout 3 was my first immersion into the Fallout world, which is why it's my favorite. I can't wait to play the remaster or remake. One day we'll see a new version with AI NPCs and photorealism, but that day isn't today.
Fallout 3 Demake will release on the Nintendo Switch 3 in the year

Not a hard guess to make, now, but I think the game will loose a little something, not only mods but the original had a certain jankiness that UE5 will pi$$ all over.

Just IMHO, free to disagree.

Can't wait to run it at 720p upscaled, with forced ray tracing, and nvidia boot logos!

I'm positive I'm in the minority, but I don't want this.

I don't have an issue with the UE5 graphical upgrade, but I would so rather have FO3 in the FO4 engine, rather than just the same FO3 engine with some gun upgrades.

I want the combat upgrades, the power armor upgrade, the workbenches, (you know, less pointless loot) and maybe even a bit more modular player homes (settlement style) that FO4 provided.

I want to see the loot on corpses without having to open their inventory.

Having said all that, we're probably going to get UE5 stuffed over Gamebryo with a few upgrades to the shooting mechanics.

The problem is that UE5 runs terribly on a lot of computers when the game isn’t properly optimized and we all know Bethesda.

You do know BGS is not directly responsible for these UE5 remasters, right? Their name is on it, sure, but little else...
