Fallout 3 Length

So I've been playing F3 lately and it's been awesome, but couldnt anybody tell me that the main quest is so freaking short? I beat it and i didnt mean to. This is disappointing.

That's one of the effects of open world games. There's tons of other quests and things to do/explore in the game, so the main quest isn't all that grand or epic.

Yes if you simply follow the main quest you really can do the game very fast...which means you skip out on the DLC's except 1, and probably like 100 locations which is a lot. The best way is to break it up.. follow the main quest a while, then just go out and pick a direction and head that way until your bored, then back to the quest, try a DLC, head opposite direction now that your back in the wasteland.. back to quest., etc.

Yeah, I know open world games, but from what i've heard, i thought that the main quest was almost endless so i keep playing it for a few hours. I didnt expect it to end so soon. Not considering the side quests i've done, the game could be beat in... 8-10 hours? Meh.

who told you it was endless ? its a story questline...what did you expect? just do the side quests....there is alot to do. and mods are a great addition too

I'll probably restart it, and do only side quests, but i have too many old games to play now. Missed chance.

I would restart try to do a hundread percent playthrough withought finishing the main quest i did that last few weeks just finished the vanilla game at 59 hrs played. I have to do all dlcs still so i can eassaly say this is atleast a 89+ hr game if you do every single thing and do hundread percent on everything. I know how long it took me cus i just moved from the 360 and it has my stats on hear :P.

Because Fallout 3s quests are complete crap, the main quest being the crappiest of them all.
