FOSE downgrades to 1.0.0.15 from 1.7 upon launch

While setting up my Fallout 3 GOTY edition I encountered a problem with the Fallout Script Extender.
I installed Fallout, patched it with the german 1.7. patch (I have the german cut version) and then installed FOSE v1.2 b2 so I could install some mods. However as soon as I launch FOSE I get an error saying I have an unknown version and I should check the FOSE website, also my Fallout 3 has been downgraded to the Steam version (1.0.0.15).
I can patch again, check my version under Settings->Display ingame (1.7), launch trough the FOSE loader, get the error and have the old version again (1.0.0.15).
Weird thing is, FOSE website says that it supports the 1.7 german no-gore version.
Any ideas?

So, I got the same version, same problem. I found out only fallout3ng.exe got patched to version 1.7.0.3 - so I just renamed it fallout3.exe and now fose_loader.exe is able to launch the game.

Edit:
So far it only works with fallout3.exe. The FalloutLauncher.exe where you are able to activate the mods is still 1.0.0.15 and does not work with FOSE. Am going to look into that problem tonight...

Edit2:
Activation of mods via Nexus Mod Manager crashes the game upon start. Even though I have deactivated Windows LIVE. Reporting back if I made any progress.

Well, that was easy. Did what you said and it works perfectly now. No downgrading, FOSE works and even the uncut fix for the german version works now. No crash for me when I activate a mod. Thanks!
